It's always beneficial to upgrade your operating system to the latest version and keep it updated by installing new updates regularly to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity of your device. Additionally, keeping your apps and software updated helps improve their quality and protection against viruses and malware. However, when checking for updates, be cautious and only install the necessary updates. Avoid installing the ones that aren't required.


Keep Your Device's OS , Apps & Driver Up to Date


To install the latest updates available for your PC, you need to follow these steps:


1. Type "Check for Updates" in Windows Start search and click its the same from the search results displayed.



2. Click on "Check for Updates."

5. If updates are available, select the update you want to install.

6. Click on "Install" and wait for the installation process to complete.

7. Once the installation is complete, restart your PC for the changes to take effect. 

8. View update histroy to check the recently installed updates details.

Hardware drivers can also be updated as Windows gives options for necessary drivers / device security etc update as well. The optional updates are automatically enlisted by the windows under optional update tag and can be downloaded by clicking on "download and install" given udner the available updates however if you want to make a selection  then click on "view all optional update". Select the update you want and click on download and install.



If some of your PC drivers still need updating, you can open the "Control Panel" and click on "Device Manager". Then, right-click on the driver you want to update and select "Update Driver". You will have the option to either "Search automatically for drivers" or "Browse my computer" and select the specific drive or disk where the driver is available.


If you are unable to find the driver, you can search for it online by typing the "driver name" in any internet search engine. Once you find the driver, click on "download" and then install it as per the setup install guide provided.


Another way to update PC drivers is to install any of the free or paid driver update applications. Once you have installed the application, follow its procedure for updating drivers.


Please be aware that updating your system can sometimes lead to serious compatibility issues and errors with both system software and hardware. Therefore, it is a cautious process and requires a full understanding of the available updates. However, if any issues arise after the update, you can uninstall the latest quality and feature updates through the system recovery utility or "programs and features"  provided in Windows. Nonetheless, updating your system is always recommended as it enhances security and speed. Updates are usually released to improve app quality and address any software issues and vulnerabilities that may arise from viruses and malware.
